Cuvée 16 is a blend of interesting native grape varieties of Negroamaro and Primitivo (Zinfandel) and is made in the Vino d’Italia appellation. Gentle breeze ensures proper fruit aeration. This, combined with the absence of humidity, create an ideal environment for grape growing.
One of Cuvée 16’s prominent traits come from the the winery’s long-standing experience in grape-drying techniques in the vineyard; grapes are left on the vine for 25 to 30 days. During this long ripening stage, sugar concentration and flavours are increased, giving incredible richness, intensity and body to the wine! The wine is aged for at least nine months in wood barrels.
TASTING NOTES:
A penetrating bouquet, it opens with fruity aromas and red berry jam flavors evolving into a palate of spices and tobacco. Rich and dense with well-defined tannins, balanced with a natural roundness. Its velvety elegance is fully revealed in the finish.
