From selected grapes of the Pignolo vine, from its own vineyard located in the municipality of Torreano di Cividale (UD). First harvest vintage 2007.
It is believed that this autochthonous vine was already known and cultivated before the 1600s, then rediscovered and recovered at the end of the 70s.
Matteo I° has an intense red color with garnet reflections: it has a marked aroma of plum, licorice, blackberry, spicy notes.
With a rightly velvety, full, round taste, with balanced tannins.
It goes well with grilled red meats, furred game and aged cheeses.
To be served between 18° and 20°C.
