The Barolo La Fenice White Label of Cantine Sant’Agata is born in vineyards located in Scurzolengo, in the province of Asti, in the heart of the extraordinary Piedmontese wine panorama. Cantine Sant’Agata wines are the perfect expression of the native vines of Piedmont.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested only by hand in late October. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C for about 20-25 days, with the aim of giving the wine a noble structure. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 2 years and for another 6 months in bottle.
It is characterized by a garnet red color, with ruby nuances. The nose opens with elegant aromas of violet and rose, enriched with hints of red fruits and pleasant spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon and green pepper. On the palate it is dry, pleasantly warm and velvety. The wine has a full and robust body, with a delicate aftertaste of licorice and leather.
Perfect to accompany red meats, game, truffles and risotto, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses and as a meditation wine.
